TS 2025 Community Lifestyle Statement

At TeenStreet we want to create a safe place and community where everyone can develop a real relationship with Jesus to reflect Him in their world.

We are a community of people of different ages, from many different nationalities, cultures   and church backgrounds. We want to enjoy the various styles of worship, behaviour, speech, and culture during TeenStreet without judging others according to our own lifestyle, but rather “love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbours as we love ourselves” (Mark 12:30-31).

We want to encourage everyone to:

  1. Respect God
  2. Respect each other
  3. Respect property

Your own and others’ safety

We want everyone to have a great time at TeenStreet UK and keep themselves and each other safe. There are a few ways we can do this, so please join us in lifting each other up in our words and actions.

Illegal actions

All illegal actions are prohibited at TeenStreet. In the case of an illegal action taking place, TeenStreet staff are required by law to report it to the police. Examples of illegal activities include, but are not limited to, drug taking or possession of drugs, the inappropriate use of knives, violent behaviour, threats, vandalism, racism, and the possession or distribution of inappropriate images or videos on mobile or other electronic devices.

Alcohol, smoking and illegal drugs

We want TeenStreet UK to be an environment where everyone feels safe and welcome. Therefore, the use of alcohol, vaping, smoking any substance is prohibited at TeenStreet UK.

Badges and wristbands

So that we can easily identify each other and ensure that our site is safe and secure, please make sure that you are always wearing your name badge around your neck and wristband on your writs throughout the week. If you lose your badge or wristband, please get a new one from your Small Group Leader.

Love and respect yourself and others

Love and respect

People at TeenStreet come from many different nationalities, church backgrounds and cultures. We want to show love and respect to each other.

Swearing and offensive language

At TeenStreet UK we want to ensure our words, as well as our actions, are uplifting and kind to everyone. Therefore, please do not swear or use offensive language at TeenStreet. Whilst you might not find a word offensive, someone else might.

Taking part

We want you to have a fantastic week at TeenStreet UK. We encourage everyone to be you engaging with the morning teaching, small group times and evening worship, as well as many of the fun activities planned throughout the week.

Please speak to your Coach, leader or a member of the TeenStreet staff if you feel unwell or there is another reason why you can’t be present. There is always the option of quiet space upstairs during worship if you need it, and there will be trusted adults around to talk to and pray with as well.

Accommodation

Guys cannot enter girls’ accommodation, and girls cannot enter guys’ accommodation – both tents and dorms.

Sleep and quiet

TeenStreet days are long, busy, and fun, and we all need sleep! Please make sure you are in your own accommodation by the time set on the schedule and ensure that you are quiet no later than 30 minutes after that time so that everyone can get good rest to be able to enjoy the next day.
Some of us need more sleep than others, so please ensure that you are quiet between 11:30pm – 7:00am.

We ask that you do not leave your accommodation overnight except in an emergency or to use the facilities.

Respect others’ right and wishes

Some people attending TeenStreet UK do not wish to have their image or names on social media or in public. This may be due to cultural sensitivities, legal reasons or simply personal preference. Please ensure you have each persons’ permission before posting anything publicly online.

Belongings

To respect each other and our belongings, please do not borrow, move or touch anyone else’s things without their permission.

 Dressing respectfully

We want to be respectful of each other, remembering that different churches and cultures might have a different perspective.

  • Keep shorts and skirts to at least fingertip length when stood up. Please ensure your clothing does not expose your underwear.
  • Ensure you are wearing a top at all times that is not see-through, cropped, or low-cut. Guys must wear their shirts even when playing sports.
  • Girls should wear bras or an equivalent under their shirts.
  • You must not wear clothes or accessories with offensive text or graphics.

We look forward to seeing you at TeenStreet; let’s go deep, have fun and be bold!
